I think the best present I've gotten in the past two days is the one from my best friend Michelle. She drives over on christmas eve... and hands me this hefty green back and drives away.

she got me way more than i expected. i never even told her what i wanted and she never asked. and she got me a sketchbook like twice the size of my old one. a little picture book called bon bon. and a jewelry box, which, if you flip if over, is an old cigar box in disguise. opened it and there was another box inside with a plastic bag of candy. ate a candy, realized there was something INSIDE the plastic baggie. necklace of a robot screw with diamond eyes. then i realized the box had been sitting on a scarf.

i proceeded to fall in love.
